A Record of Records
2016 至 2026 年間，Akio Nagasawa 出版社的 Instagram 上，逐漸累積了許多森山大道的照片。他看著相片、編輯攝影書、為書籍簽名、站在展覽現場，也與朋友和工作夥伴相遇。單獨來看，每一張都只是攝影日常裡的一個片段。重新按照時間排列之後，這些片段慢慢形成了一幅由十年時光構成的肖像。
十年，足以讓一個人的變化變得清晰。我們可以在森山的面容、姿態，以及他站在鏡頭前的方式裡，看見時間留下的痕跡。這些變化並不在攝影之外。攝影所做的，正是接住不斷流逝的時間，讓一些原本會消失的事物留下來。
我把這些照片從持續流動的 Instagram 時間軸中取出，重新收集並排列在這個頁面裡。這並不是一部關於森山大道的完整傳記，而是一份由其他記錄重新組成的記錄。透過那些曾經在他身邊的人所拍下的照片，我也試著再一次感受他，再一次與他相遇。
1972 年，森山大道以自費出版的方式創辦了攝影誌《記錄》。在這個頁面裡，觀看的方向被慢慢倒轉。那位用一生記錄世界的攝影家，此刻成為被記錄的人。
這個頁面不會在此結束。當新的照片出現，我會繼續把它們加入其中，讓這份記錄隨著時間生長。
2026 年 10 月 10 日，森山大道將迎來 88 歲生日。謹以這份仍在繼續的記錄，祝他生日快樂。
2016年から2026年まで、Akio Nagasawa PublishingのInstagramには、森山大道の姿を写した写真が少しずつ蓄積されてきた。プリントを見る。写真集をつくる。サインをする。展覧会場に立つ。友人や仕事仲間と会う。一枚ずつ見れば、それらは写真をめぐる日常の小さな断片である。時間の順に並べ直すと、そこに十年という時間がつくった一つの肖像が現れる。
十年という時間は、人の変化が見えるようになるのに十分な長さだ。森山の顔や姿勢、カメラの前での立ち方にも、時間は少しずつ現れている。それは写真の外にある変化ではない。過ぎていくものを受け止め、痕跡として残す。写真がずっと担ってきたことと、とても近い。
私は、流れ続けるInstagramのタイムラインからこれらの写真を取り出し、ここに集めた。これは森山大道の完全な伝記ではない。誰かが残した記録から、もう一度つくられた記録である。森山のそばにいた人たちが撮った写真を通して、もう一度彼に出会うための試みでもある。
森山は1972年、写真誌『記録』を自費出版で始めた。このページでは、見ることの方向が反対になる。世界を記録し続けてきた写真家が、ここでは記録される人になる。
このページは、ここで終わらない。新しい写真が現れるたびに加え、時間とともに更新を続けていく。
2026年10月10日、森山大道は88歳になる。まだ途中にあるこの記録とともに、誕生日を祝いたい。
From 2016 to 2026, the Instagram account of Akio Nagasawa Publishing gradually accumulated photographs of Daido Moriyama. He looks at prints, works on books, signs copies, stands in exhibition spaces, and meets friends and collaborators. Each image is a small fragment of the daily life around photography. Put back into chronological order, these fragments begin to form a portrait shaped by ten years.
Ten years is long enough for time to become visible. It appears in Moriyama’s face, posture, and the way he stands before a camera. These changes are not outside photography. They are close to what a photograph has always been asked to do. It receives what is passing and leaves behind a trace.
I have taken these images out of Instagram’s moving timeline and gathered them here. This is not meant to be a complete biography. It is a record made from other records, and a way to encounter Moriyama again through photographs taken by people who were near him.
In 1972, Moriyama began the self-published photographic journal Record. On this page, the direction of looking is reversed. The photographer who has spent his life recording the world becomes the person being recorded.
This page will remain open. I will continue to add new images as they appear, allowing the record to grow with time.
On October 10, 2026, Daido Moriyama turns eighty-eight. With this unfinished record, I wish him a happy birthday.
