<Description>
A poetic catalogue-photobook by Rinko Kawauchi, The river embraced me gathers a commissioned body of work first presented at the Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto in 2016. The project began with memories submitted by people in Kumamoto; Kawauchi then travelled through roughly forty locations, allowing private recollections to become landscapes of rain, water, light, streets, trees, crowds, and silence. With her unmistakable sensitivity to fleeting details, Kawauchi turns everyday scenery into a vessel for shared memory. The river in the title becomes a gentle image of time, receiving fragments of personal history and carrying them toward another viewer. Condition: as shown in the photos.

<介紹>
